Like many, ever since Artificial Intelligence burst into the world with the release of ChatGTP in November 2022, I’ve been curious about what this meant for creative people … would it replace us or be a new tool in the creative arsenal like so many technologies that preceded it. I’m not a technology doomsayer, so this newlsetter was created to investigate how AI will change creativity.
While this everything about this newsletter will be created with human guidance, I will attempt (to a certain extent) to use AI in every aspect of the creation of this site and its content … the name, slug line, logo, color scheme have all been created by AI (with human prompting). I will always clarify which content (like this) is being written by a human and what is AI-generated. I asked the AI to give itself a common name and it chose “Artie”, a diminutive of the word “Artificial”. So off we go!
